A katsn’ shpring – un saut de chat

Ensemble Raisins et Amandes

Here is a very nice CD that just entered our collections: a katsn’ shpring, by the French ensemble Raisins et Amandes. Through 12 beautiful songs, the band makes us travel through Judeo-Spanish and Yiddish traditions, in a sensitive and very personal way.

The use of not so common instruments (viola da gamba, daf, hurdy-gurdy) combined with the traditional guitar, accordion and violin, creates a unique sound. As for Liliane Robman’s voice, it elevates the musical performance, to form a very delicate repertoire.

A “must-listen” for the whole family.
