Aheym homeward – Sklamberg & the Shepherds

With Lorin Sklamberg (vocals, accordion, piano), Polina Shepherd (vocals, piano) and Merlin Shepherd (clarinet)

With “Aheym – homeward”, the creativity of this trio can be seen in this album rich of many new melodies. Merlin Shepherd wrote the music, Polina Shepherd adapted on the music the Yiddish poems of R. Corn, A. Gonter, I. Manger, and H. Bloshteyn.

The musical arrangements leave to the beautiful voices of Lorin Sklamberg and Polina Shepherd the time for an intimate and energetic meeting. The sounds combine, with a musical language deep into Jewish traditions, thanks to beautiful arrangements and interpretations that leave the space for an escape, homeward – aheym.
