Alexis Kune and the Mentsch

Alexis Kune is primarily devoted to the klezmer music live performance in which he is specialized as an accordionist, in particular with the duo “Mentsh” which he founded with clarinetist Samuel Maquin.

Faithful to the tradition of travel and celebration that is the essence of klezmer, the Mentsh revive this music of the soul and reinterpret it in their universe with eclectic influences. Between tradition and modernity, this duo revisits the Klezmer repertoire with passion, energy, malice and freedom by incorporating modern and contemporary music.
