Compagnie Yid’n Blues

Choir and klezmer music

The Yid’n Blues Company, created by the late Mrs. Danièle Morali, who was piano teacher at the Conservatoire du Grand Nancy, brings together professional musicians – clarinet, piano, bass guitar, percussion – and singers, animated by the same passion, and eager to perpetuate a cultural heritage that is dear to them.

The Yid’n Blues Company brings to life the thousand-year-old Yiddish music of Central Europe, “Ladino” songs – born in the Spanish suburbs of the Middle Ages, songs in Hebrew, and songs from musicals from the Broadway Theater.

The Yid’n Blues Company invites the public to appreciate this Klezmer cultural heritage, to discover the richness of its repertoires, to share its enthusiasm and its joy of singing.

Yid’n Blues Company regularly performs in France and Europe. He also has the privilege of representing Nancy for concerts during cultural exchanges with his twin cities – Lublin (Poland), Newcastle (England), Kyriat Shemona (Israel) etc.

Yid’n Blues Company offers a brilliant and sensitive repertoire, on a current coloration and rhythms, indissolubly mixing tradition, nostalgia, humor, happiness, klezmer music and jazz.
