Since his first TV appearance in 1961 and his first recordings in 1962, Gaston Ghrenassia, aka Enrico Macias recorded more than 30 albums. Internationally renowned, this boy from Constantine who started as a musician in Cheikh Raymond’s orchestra will receive the title of Kurt Waldheim’s Singer for peace in 1980, and will become the symbol of the Pieds-Noirs, French people from North Africa.
