As a part of its developing plan since 2012, the creation of a network answers the needs of several major Jewish institutions in Europe who wish to preserve and valorize their Jewish musical heritage following the model of what has been done at the EIJM.
The EIJM website thus becomes the first European portal for Jewish music.
The EIJM now has two European partners.
The website is translated into several languages (English, Spanish, Italian, German…) in order for each partner to enrich it by putting online audio and video documents, articles, etc., representative of its proper musical traditions.
The Federacion de Comunidades Judias de Espana (Federation of Jewish communities of Spain) gathers the great majority of Spanish Jewish communities and organisations. It officially represents them in front of public and private institutions, national and international.
The Unione delle Comunità Ebraiche Italiane (Union of Italian Jewish communities) is the representative authority of the Jewish communities in front of the Italian Republic. It aims to protect the religious interests of the Jews in Italy, promote the conservation of the cultural heritage and the Jewish traditions, and to coordinate the activities of the community.
