Klezmer Studies

Samuel Berthod

Here is a new method in the teaching of klezmer clarinet. Or how to face the first technical difficulties with simple and melodic pieces, composed in the spirit of klezmer music ?

You are no longer a beginner, but you wish to progress in the learning of the clarinet, in the klezmer style ? Here are the Klezmer Studies for you.

The Klezmer Studies comprise 3 evolutive volumes  (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Each volume includes at least 10 studies in the klezmer style with mp3 for accompaniment. These studies were composed by Samuel Berthod, clarinet player specialized in klezmer music. They join the technical challenges of classical clarinet with the aethetics of klezmer music. Effects, sonorities, Sirba, Doïna… They will allow you to acquire the fluency of klezmer clarinet.

For 25 years, Samuel Berthod performed concerts in Europe, Canada and in Australia. He taught klezmer in Paris in the Conservatoire Russe and in the 10th arrondissement. He was regularly invited to give masterclasses throughout the world
