Consulting our collections

The collections of the European Institute of Jewish Music are available for consultation on Rachel (the European Network of Judaica and Hebraica Libraries) an associate of the National Library of France, and who gathers most of major French Jewish libraries, such as the library of the Alliance Israélite Universelle, those of the House of Yiddish Culture, the Jewish Seminary of France, and the Museum of Jewish Art and History.
How to use below

INSTRUCTIONS to browse our collections
- You have two possibilities to consult our collections, either by the tab MEDIA LIBRARY HALPHEN, or by clicking on the link on top right of the page "Browse our collections" ’see red arrows

- You arrive then on our online catalogue on which you you can do a simple search or multi-criteria search :
1) for a simple search :
- Type the object of search and click on "search"

2) for a multi-ctriteria search :
- Type the object of search and click on "+" to add more criterias, precise search criterias and click on "search"
(here, for example, a search on TITLE "Pessah", in FORMAT "Audio-music", with TRADITION "Séfarade"")

- The search results appear on a page that can show up to 7 results, and for the following results, you have to see the following pages by clicking on the 2 red arrows on the right, like seen below (the search in this example shows 90 results, 7 results on each page)

- Finally, by clicking on "Details", you access to a "detailed" description of the document, like for exemple an image of the cover (CD, musical score...), the detail of songs or music scores, or audio exmaples of which you can listen to excerpts (NB : excerpts of the documents are available at home, but the whole documents are available at the Institute, on appointment by phone 01 45 82 20 52 or mail
